Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Tangerine Expanse Pte Ltd ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), a company registered in Singapore (UEN: 202500001A), regarding your use of our website tangerineexpanse.com and our travel services.

By accessing our website or engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Services

2.1 Travel Services

Tangerine Expanse provides boutique travel planning and consultation services, including:

  • Bespoke itinerary design and planning
  • Accommodation booking and management
  • Transportation arrangements
  • Cultural experience coordination
  • 24/7 travel support during your journey
  • Travel consulting and advisory services

2.2 Third-Party Services

We act as an intermediary in arranging services provided by third parties, including but not limited to airlines, hotels, tour operators, restaurants, and activity providers. We are not responsible for the performance of these third-party services.

3. Booking and Payment Terms

3.1 Booking Process

  • All bookings require a signed service agreement and payment of applicable deposits
  • Prices are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD) unless otherwise specified
  • All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated
  • Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of signed agreements and required payments

3.2 Payment Schedule

  • Planning Fee: 50% due upon agreement signing, 50% upon itinerary finalization
  • Travel Services: 25% deposit upon booking confirmation, balance due 45 days before departure
  • Last-Minute Bookings: Full payment required for bookings made within 45 days of departure

3.3 Accepted Payment Methods

We accept payment via bank transfer, major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), and other methods as agreed upon in writing.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

4.1 Client Cancellation

  • More than 90 days before departure: 25% of total trip cost
  • 60-90 days before departure: 50% of total trip cost
  • 30-59 days before departure: 75% of total trip cost
  • Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of total trip cost

4.2 Force Majeure

In cases of force majeure events (natural disasters, political unrest, pandemic restrictions, etc.), we will work with clients to reschedule travel or provide credit for future travel. Refunds in force majeure situations are subject to supplier terms and conditions.

4.3 Supplier Cancellations

If third-party suppliers cancel services, we will make every effort to find suitable alternatives. If no acceptable alternatives are available, refunds will be processed according to supplier terms.

5. Travel Requirements and Responsibilities

5.1 Client Responsibilities

  • Ensure all travel documents (passports, visas, permits) are valid and up-to-date
  • Comply with health requirements including vaccinations and health certificates
  • Provide accurate information about special needs, dietary requirements, and medical conditions
  • Arrive punctually for all scheduled services and transfers
  • Respect local customs, laws, and regulations
  • Maintain appropriate travel insurance throughout the journey

5.2 Documentation Requirements

Clients are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining valid travel documentation. We provide general guidance but are not responsible for denied entry, deportation, or other consequences of inadequate documentation.

5.3 Health and Safety

Clients must disclose any medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or accessibility needs that may affect their travel experience. We recommend consultation with healthcare providers regarding travel health requirements.

6. Limitations of Liability

6.1 Service Limitations

Our liability is limited to the planning and coordination services we directly provide. We are not liable for:

  • Actions or omissions of third-party service providers
  • Flight delays, cancellations, or schedule changes
  • Hotel overbooking, strikes, or labor disputes
  • Weather-related disruptions
  • Political unrest, natural disasters, or force majeure events
  • Personal injury, illness, or loss of property
  • Consequential or indirect damages

6.2 Maximum Liability

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for our services, excluding amounts paid to third-party suppliers.

7. Travel Insurance Requirements

We strongly recommend and may require comprehensive travel insurance covering:

  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Medical expenses and emergency evacuation
  • Lost or delayed baggage
  • Flight delays and missed connections
  • Adventure activity coverage if applicable

Travel insurance must be purchased within 14 days of initial trip deposit to ensure maximum coverage.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Content

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Tangerine Expanse or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

8.2 Client Content

By providing testimonials, reviews, photos, or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use such content for marketing and promotional purposes.

9. Website Terms of Use

9.1 Permitted Use

You may use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. Prohibited activities include:

  • Commercial use without written permission
  • Copying, distributing, or modifying content
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access
  • Transmitting viruses or malicious code
  • Interfering with website functionality

9.2 User Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11.2 Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

11.3 Alternative Dispute Resolution

Before initiating legal proceedings, parties agree to attempt resolution through good faith negotiations and, if necessary, mediation conducted by the Singapore Mediation Centre.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Material changes will be communicated to active clients via email or other direct communication methods.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any signed service agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tangerine Expanse regarding the use of our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
